    Photography, DSLR Tips and You

    So what is the connection between the photographer, his camera gear and photography?

    A photographer is always on the prowl for new ways to improve his photography and he never fails to practice, until he get it right. There are photographers who just like to point and shoot, and those who truly enjoy photography are those who will invest in digital cameras with interchangeable lens.

    After some long years of SLR film photography digital SLR photography, these are some of the DSLR Tips to share with those alike.

    • Always visualize your subjects, background and try to compose them using picture composition like Rule of Thirds, Golden mean and similar. These are proven picture composition methods to make your images visually appealing.
    • Try to shoot with a steady hand. Most DSLR cameras and digital cameras have image stabilization on their camera lenses or body, so you do not really have go to the extreme like holding your breathing to take a shot. Just be careful not to make large camera movements which will cause your images to be blurry. You can always mount your camera on a tripod or monopod, if you feel your hands are shaky. Just remember to get a wireless or wired remote shutter too.
    • Since we are in the digital age, take more than 1 or 2 shots on the same frame setting. We are not using film anymore, so we can afford to take more shots.
    • If you are shooting in daylight, observe where your natural light is. So you can better control its shadow and highlight.
    • Always read your instruction manual that comes with your DSLR camera or Mirrorless camera. This will only help you get more familiar with the functions of your digital camera.
